The tenth place in the Spanish final for the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest has been filled by RTVE by Lorena C with the song Piensa gay. Lorena C was chosen in the place of Null System who were disqualified earlier today for breaching a fundamental Eurovision rule.

Today was a very busy day for the specially appointed RTVE jury who se duty was to choose five of this year's finalists for the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest. At 12.00 CET today the five artists who would join the public's favourites in the Spanish final were announced only to be discovered a few minutes later that one of the songs was in violation of EBU rules. The song Mourning by Null System apparently had been released commercially before October 1st and was subsequently disqualified.

The jury was reassembled to chose another candidate for the Spanish final and thier choice is Lorena C with Piensa Gay. Lorena C placed 106 in the public voting with 2423 votes.
