The UK Final will take place this Saturday, six acts will sing their songs all in hope of representing the United Kingdom in Belgrade in May. esctoday.com caught up with one of the Girl Groups, LoveShy, who will sing 'Mr Gorgeous'.

How long have you been together?
"Aimee and me have been together forfive years now. We originally met on the tv show Popstars: The Rivals which formed Girls Aloud and we formed as a girlband called CLEA with two others from the show".

Up to now, what has been you biggest acheivement in your career?
"Up to now, there have been lots of great things. We are really proud of our CLEA album Trinity. Having 4 UK hit singles, playing to 100,000 people at Queens Day in Holland, performing at a pre-olympics tv show in china to 3 billion, gloing to No.1 in Hong Kong with Cltohes Off,…god i could go on but I'd bore you laughs ".

Why did you chose to enter eurovision?
"Actually it was our managers who put us forward for it. they kept it quiet until we'd progressed to being a serious contender".

What would it mean for you to represent the UK in eurovision?
"It would mean everything to represent the UK. weve both grown up with eurovision and as we both wanted to be singers from an early age used to be glued to the glitz and glamour of the shows and the singers and of course funy Terry Wogan – he is legend!"

Have you heard the other 5 songs? what do you think of them?
"No actually we've not heard them. Its all kept hush hush by the bbc and was only announce who thesix acts were on monday. we've heard snippets but thats all. we are so busy rehearsing and doing media stuff that i doubt we will hear them until rehearsals at the studio next week".

Have you heard any eurovision 2008 songs yet? if so which is your favourite(s)?
"Again, no we havent. We didn't know whether we were in until last week so didnt want to get too excited incase we didnt make the final 6, now we are in we will be researching! any tips from you? who are you liking, apart from Loveshy of course hehe."

What is your favourite eurovision song ever?
"I like Katrina And The Waves but our fav (and we are biased as she is a lovely lady and a friend) is Gina G Ooh Ah ..just the first few bars has everyone up on their feet – classic"

You met whilst participating on Popstars: The Rivals, former UK representative, Javine, also participated in that show, what did you think of Javine in eurovision? Have you spoken with her? has she given you any advice?

"We think Javine performed well but don't think her song sounded like a UK entry. We haven't had contact with Javine for a long time now".

Do you think your experiences in Clea will be an advantage to you?
"It definitely helps. We've gained so much experience on stage and performing for the past 5 years. It will give us more confidence. As to being an advantage, all the acts have had experience performing so we should all be on the same level."

Do you have any tricks up your sleeve for Saturday?
"We can't say too much but were going to be putting on a good show and hopefully a performance to vote for!"

What do you think of current voting paterns in eurovision? Do you think you can change that for the UK this year?
"We just want to give the best performance we can and hope we can change the amount of votes we've had in the past few years. We've been in the Top 10 and won before so there's no reason we can't be there again".

What do you eat on Christmas Day
"Random!!!… Haha. Turkey roast dinner of course, and usually far too many chocolates".
