“Problems with ticket sale Eurovision 2003”

According to DotEurovision.com there are serious problems with the ticket sale procedure for the Eurovision Song Contest 2003.

“Seats were quickly snapped up and all those reservations were almost immediately confirmed by email, an email promising that how to pay would be advised the next day. The following days, fans waited and waited for any news, enquiries were met by promises that the second emails were ready to go out and were being prepared and would almost certainly go out today”, the website wrote today.

What nobody was told was that behind the scenes LTV was in chaos and was about to cancel almost every reservation. Because of a misunderstanding staff from the Latvian broadcaster LTV reserved seats which had been put on sale through the internet, resulting in double bookings. According to DotEurovision.com “LTV decided to give priority to their own staff and fans received emails to let them know their reservation was cancelled”.

In the meantime, various website advice fans to contact Latviatours for tickets and travel packages. Esctoday.com contacted LTV concerning the ticket problems, but we haven't received any comment yet.
