Tonight, the first semi final of Belgium's Eurosong was held. Five songs were presented and televoting sent two of them directly to the national final on 9th March. The third and fourth placed entries are in the running to get one of the jury wildcards.

Last year the Walloon broadcaster submittedthe entry LovePower which was performed by the KMG's and finished 26th in the semi finalgetting 14 points- 12 of them from debuting country Georgia. The last time an entry by the Flemish broadcaster reached the top 10 was back in 1977! In 2008, Belgium will take part in the first semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 20th May.
