A new wave of nostalgia will hit France and the French speaking countries very soon. Following the huge success of tours such as Stars 80 or Âge Tendre et Tête de Bois in which many former Eurovision glories took part, the new tour Mes Idoles will also fight for its piece of the pie as from 2016.
The show will mainly rely on experienced singers closely connected to the Eurovision Song Contest indeed: French singer Michèle Torr who took part twice in 1966 for Luxembourg and later on for Monaco in 1977, American songstress Jeane Manson who represented Luxembourg in 1979, French singer Corinne Hermès who won the Contest in 1983 for Luxembourg, and singer Patrick Juvet who entered in 1973 for home country Switzerland.
The tour will also count with the participation of other well-known singers such as Dave who tried his luck at the Dutch national selection for the 1969 Eurovision Song Contest (see here) and French singer Nicoletta who came close represent her country in 1967 with the original version of world-wide hit The Sun died performed later on by Ray Charles and Tom Jones (see here). Last but not least Italo-Belgian singer Claude Barzotti who penned Morgane‘s 1992 Belgian entry Nous, on veut des violons (see here) will also be part of the cast.
