The second semi final of Melodifestivalen 2008, the Swedish national selection for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade, was held tonight. Eight songs were presented and two were chosen to go forward to the national final on 15th March. The third and fourth placed entries will enter the second chance round.

• Carola & Andreas Johnson– One love

Eliminated:

• Lasse Lindh – Du behöver aldrig mer vara rädd (6th)
• The Nicole – Razborka (8th)
• Alexander Schöld – Den första svalan (7th)
• Andra Generationen – Kebabpizza Slivovitza (5th)

The Ark finished 18th for Sweden in Helsinki with The worrying kind. In 2008, Sweden will take part in the second semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 22nd May.
