This year’s French Eurovision representative, Lisa Angell, made an appearance on Saturday’s edition of the French television show Village Départ where she discussed her Eurovision experience.

This year, the French national broadcaster France 2 internally selected Lisa Angell to represent her country at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest with her entry N’oubliez pas. Receiving a total of 4 points, Lisa and France finished in 25th position at the Grand Final of the competition in the host city of Vienna.

Talking about her Eurovision experience to the Village Départ host Laurent Luyat, Lisa admitted that she was disappointed with the result, revealing that she did shed some tears once the final results were unveiled.

Despite her disappointment at the time of the contest, Lisa revealed that she now looks back on the contest as a great adventure and focuses on the positives. I sing! This is what I can do and what I love to do, so I’m happy.

When asked about the possible French successor at next year’s Eurovision Song Contest, Lisa commented:

Since we went there this year with a slow song, we need to go next year with something more catchy, perhaps someone a little younger, younger than me, who dances!

Shortly after the conclusion of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, France 2 confirmed to ESCToday that France will participate in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest in the host city of Stockholm. More details regarding France’s selection process will be revealed in the coming months. Who would you like to see representing France at the next Eurovision Song Contest?
