Each person will be allowed to vote 5 times a day to whoever he or she wishes to vote for (5 votes for the same candidate or distribute the votes among several candidates).

RTVE has worked very hard and efficiently to bring about one of the most modern and fresh approaches for its nationalEurovision selection. A fresh new idea where artists are invited to create their own myspace pages and upload their entries along with an introduction video of themselves. More than 500 songs have been submitted to the Spanish selection.

RTVE has officially published a press release about the method and system of the online voting that will be used for Salvemos Eurovisión. The 5 most voted candidates will proceed to the final which will be held on the 1st of March and aired on TVE1 on prime time. They will be joined by another 5 candidates who will be selected by an expert jury. The expert jury will be composed by Daniel Rodriguez Villasante, Mauro Canut, Toni Prieto, Borja Prieto and Fernando Montesinos. The jury will make their official announcent on the 25th of February on the official RTVE Myspace page, thus revealing the names of the lucky candidates.

The voting procedure

Voting will kick off on the 14th of February and will last for 10 days until midnight 24th February. Each person will be entitled to cast 5 votes per day enablinghim to vote for the same candidate or distribute his votes among several candidates. During the casting of the votes a special window will open up where the voter will be asked to fill in his email address and verify it thereafter. This is to ensure that the voter receives an email confirming their vote and at the same time avoids automatic voting. The voter will receive as many emails as votes he will cast, hence each and every vote has to be validated with the email address and thus verified. The public will be able to follow the results and current standing of the online voting on the official Spanish Eurovision myspace page. You can listen to the aspiring candidates by clicking here .
