Yes its true 2 Eurovision legends joined forces a few days back and performed the 1987 Italian Eurovision entry at a special tv show Musikantenstadl 2015 aired on German tv channel Das Erste and on ORF 2.
We are talking of Ireland’s Mr. Eurovision Johnny Logan ( Eurovision winner 1980, 1987, 1992- composer) and Italy’s Umberto Tozzi. Both artists share the Eurovision stage back in 1987 when they competed at the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest in Brussels.
Italinan superstar Umberto Tozzi represented Italy at the 1987 ESC with Raf and their entry Gente di mare.They achieved an honorable 3rd place in the contest. Whilst Irish Eurovision winner Johnny Logan return to the contest 7 years after his 1st Eurovision victory with his entry Hold me now. He went on to become the only singer to have won competition twice when he won the contest in 1987.
This time the stars met up again and joined forces in order to perform the evergreen Gente di mare. The Musikantenstadl 2015 was held on 27 June in the beautiful Croatian city of Pula.
