Congratulations Trijntje Oosterhuis! The Dutch lady of soul, who represented The Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna, has revealed on her website that she is pregnant with her third child. The news comes just days after the announcement of her forthcoming autumn tour in The Netherlands. Because of the circumstances, the grand show on 18 December is cancelled, while several shows of the clubtour will be re-scheduled.

On her official website, Trijntje Oosterhuis says:

Luckily it was possible to move some of the shows. I am very much looking forward to this clubtour, after which I will take my maternity leave. In February I will be on stage as usual with the other Ladies Of Soul, something I am also very excited about.

Unfortunately, the grand show on 18 December in the Heineken Music Hall (Amsterdam) which was to be the crowning piece of her Eurovision-year has been cancelled. People who already ordered tickets for the grand show, will automatically receive their money back in two to four weeks, depending on the method of payment.

The minor shows of the Walk Along Tour in Zwolle and Hengelo have been re-scheduled to other dates, for the show in venue 013 in Tilburg there is no new date as yet. See the full new tour-schedule below:

  • 25/09: Effenaar, Eindhoven
  • 01/10: Hedon, Zwolle
  • 02/10: Gebouw-T, Bergen op Zoom
  • 03/10: Oosterpoort, Groningen
  • 16/10: Parkstad Limburg, Heerlen
  • 17/10: Metropool, Hengelo
  • 23/10: Doornroosje, Nijmegen
  • 24/10: Mezz, Breda
  • 29/10: Luxor Live, Arnhem

The artist (1973) is of course very happy. Father of the child is Alvin Lewis, twin brother of Trijntje’s fellow Lady Of Soul, Berget Lewis (national preselection for Eurovision 2003). Trijntje Oosterhuis already has two sons from her previous marriage, Jonas and Marijn.

ESCToday congratulates Trijntje and Alvin, and wishes them good luck! Listen to Trijntje Oosterhuis’ 2015 Eurovision-entry Walk along and her latest single The choice I’ve made, both from her album Walk along:
