Armenia: Eurovision stars collaborate in The otherside

Following their participation at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in the host city of Vienna, 5 of this year’s Eurovision stars have released a collaboration together entitled The otherside.

Written by Xandy Barry and Tamar Kaprelian, who represented Armenia at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest as part of the super-group Genealogy, The otherside is an emotive ballad with touching lyrics. The message of the song itself powerfully comes across through the music video, which was filmed and directed by David Martirosyan.

Initially released by the Armenian-American singer back in 2012, the revamp of The otherside features vocals from Tamar alongside 4 fellow 2015 Eurovision artists; Elhaida Dani (Albania), Stephanie Topalian (Armenia as part of Genealogy), Elina Born (Estonia) and Maria-Elena Kyriakou (Greece).

After an idea which had been discussed in the lead up to the competition, the single was recorded last month in Vienna during the performers’ time at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest.

The otherside is now available on both iTunes and Spotify.
