Good news for Eurovision fans in Australia, as SBS has confirmed that they will be airing both Eurovision Song Contest semi finals. Dustin the turkey, who is participating in this year's Irish preselection has made it on the homepage of one of Australia's top online news agencies, News.com.au. where it is extremely rare to see Eurovision related news published.

SBS, the Australian broadcaster mainly targeted to ethnic groups in Australia, will be airing both Eurovision Song Contest semi finals after all. The first semi will be aired on Friday 23 May and the second on Saturday 24 May at 8.30pm.The Final will be aired on Sunday 25 May at 7.30pm.

Dustin the turkey, the puppet attempting to represent Ireland in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest has made headlines on News.com.au, one of Australia's top online news agencies. Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
