The Latvian radio SWH has published ten songs participating in the second semi-final of the Latvian Eirodziesma 2008, which will compete to get the last five places in the final selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2008.

Unfortunately the Latvian broadcaster LTV has already announced that they will not broadcast the second semi-final in the internet.

In 2007, Bonaparti.lv made it easily to the final of the Eurovision Song Contest finishing 5th in the semi final with Questa notte. However, in the final the song was the leastpopular one from the semi final qualifiers finishing 16th. Latvia will participate in the second semifinal of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest, to be held on 22nd May.
