The webcast is working wonderfully well so far which is a relief, the sound is a bit low though. One by one the artists are introduced to the public starting with Andrea who chose La reina de la Noche from last year's Spanish Mision Eurovision.

Now it is Grim, they are asked which is their favourite word….. they say "devil". Jelena Kazanegra is next, her favourite word in English is "beep". Knez now, his favourite song isMontenegrin balladBalerina, his favourite word "magic". He speaks two languages and likes to sleep.

Vesna Milacic is next, followed by Stefan Filipović the hot favourite of the night. He likes sleeping and skiing and he is claustrophobic, which shouldn't be a problem in the huge Belgrade Arena, should he make it there.

Now the artists will have to sing somethingaccompanied bya piano. Andrea goes first with Whitney Huston's classic I will always love you. The song is a challenging one, being one of the world's most cherished love songs. Andrea is vocally correct but nowhere up to the Whitney Huston standard. The audience, however, is standing up waving their arms in the traditional Eurovision back vocalist manner.

Grim go now with Power of love by Frankie goes to Hollywood. The audience are really into it. They have been standing up all the time waving their arms. A simple, correct overall performance suiting the song by the duo Grim.

Jelena Kazanegra goes next. Jelena participated in Evropresma 2004 with Negre and placed 3rd. Now she performs Tina Turner's The best. Not the best choice of song for Jelena. The song is a classic and although she performs it well we cannot help miss Tina.

Knez's turn now. He performs his favourite ballad Balerina by Makadam. A good choice of song for him as it suits his voice and style. Knez used to be really popular in the early nineties, started from up beat music moving on to ballads and regular pop towards the end of the decade.

Another classic by Kaja now if only of an entirely different style. Here I go again, the rock ballad by Whitesnake. She does an excellent job performing it. Probably the best performance so far, excellent vocals by the veteran singer who flavoured the song with her own style.

Young Stefan Filipović takes the stage now performing his Evropresma 2006, Za nju. Stefan is a looker and obviously very popular with younger generations. A good performance, not very demanding or anything but heartfelt and correct.

The voting has started and it will go on for 30 minutes. Each SMS costs 0.20 euro. Now we are treated to archive material of past Eurovision winners :D. Enjoy!

Now two representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina and FYR Macedonia televisions are interviewed about the contest in their countries. The BiH representative discussed about this year's choice, Laka, who was selected among dozens of applicants. Milanca Rasic from MKTV is complimented on her Montenegrin and gives a report about her country's choices so far and comments that there is a wide variety of different styles in this year's SkopjeFest. The discussion is now about Eurovision in general, how to promote songs etc.

And an interesting piece of information by Milanca. She says that the only one who deserved to be internally selected was the late Tose Proeski. But due to his tragic and early death they went for the national selection instead.

And now it is time for the special guest. Ruslan Aleho will perform this year's Belarussian entry Hasta la vista.

The voting is over now and the artists are giving it another go. Andrea sings La reina de la noche sang by Mirella in last year's Mision Eurovision. A great pity she did not perform that first as it suits her so much better than I will always love you.La reina showcasedher temperament and vocal abilities in a much better way.

Grim perform their atmospheric rock ballad Zacaran, again a better choice than their first attempt. Jelena is next with Kao macka and now Knez performs Nijedna zena na svijetu, his 90's hit. The audience are still up and dancing.

Kaja is on next and now Stefan with his winning song at the Budva Festival 2007, Nebo i more. Is it us or is there a striking resemblance between Ruslan and Stefan?

Last year's Stevan Faddy is seen performing Ajde Kroci on Helsinki stage last May. Right before that he spoke about his Helsinki experience. He admitted that it was a wonderful exerience and wished the future Montenegrin representative good luck.

Results now! We are given the results by telephone company, there are three of them.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
