Claudia Faniello was tonight made a two time princess in Malta by finishing 2nd and 3rd in the Go Malta Song for Europe final. Had she only competed with one song, she may well be on her way to Belgrade to represent her country at the Eurovision Song Contest. She was beaten by Morena, who also competed with two songs.
Claudia Faniello finished third with the ballad Sunrise and second with her uptempo song Carravagio. She was beaten by the song Vodka by Morena, who also had two songs in the final. Until the televotes results are announced, no confirmation about whether Claudia or Morena received the most votes overall can be given.
It will be of close interest to many fans as well as musicians in Malta as to whether Claudia or Morena received more votes when the combined total of their two songs is made public. Many thought that the two soloists would face a disadvantage by competing with two songs. That has proven to be incorrect, with both finishing in the top three places. It will, however be interesting to see which singer got the most combined televotes.
