OGAE Germany Convention 2008

OGAE Germany is organising their annual convention on Saturday, 26th January 2008 in Munich, Germany. The theme of this event is 1983 which was the year Germany last hosted the Eurovision Song Contest when it was staged in Munich's Rudi-Sedlmayer-Halle. OAGE Germany promises some surprises from that year. As a matter of fact, this event includes a screening sequence. The retrospective of the contest hosted by the city of Munich way back in 1983 (exactly 25 years ago) and glimpses at some of the national finals of that very same year are going to be the highlight of this viewing part.

Among the guests, fans will get the pleasure to meet two contestants of the upcoming German national final, scheduled for 6th March 2008 in Hamburg: Lucy, member of No Angels as well as Tommy Reeves. Also planned to make a guest appearance are the 2004 Slovenian entrants to Eurovision: Platin.

The tradition of such a joyful party also requires the traditional Cover Contest, to which everybody is invited to sing a Eurovision related song, and, of course, a record fair organised by Bea Records. You will also be able to dance your socks off to the famous Eurovision Disco. The OGAE Germany Convention 2008 starts at 13.30 hours on Saturday, 26th January 2008 in Wirtshaus zum Isartal , Brudermuehlstrasse 2, Munich, Germany.
