Former Eurovision Song Contest winner, Charlotte Perrelli, has signed a record contract with Universal music, the same company the same label of another former winner who is also trying again in this year's Melodifestivalen � Carola Häggkvist.
Universal Records have signed a major record deal with Charlotte Perrelli, just a few weeks before her participation in the 2008 Melodifestivalen with the song Hero. The deal includes big promotion launching and recording a brand new album directly after Melodifestivalen.
"It is afull investment in me. We will drive the race all the way.We will record a new album and launch it. Presently, I’m entirely busy with photo shoots and testing new clothes. And they have of course really good contacts. Itall happened quite naturally. Bobby Ljunggren and Fredrik Kempe that have written my song 'Hero' had the contacts, and thought we should collaborate. It was smooth. That it is Carola's record company as well, I haven’t thought so much about", says Charlotte to Expressen.
