Ann Sophie won the 2015 German national final and was awarded the honour to represent Germany at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria. Germany will compete in the Grand Finale of the Eurovision Song Contest on 23 May.

Germany is one of the founder members of the Eurovision Song Contest having debuted in the very  first edition of the competition in Lugano in 1956. Germany has won the contest twice in 1982 with Nicole and in 2010 with Lena.

The 2015 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 19, 21 and 23 May at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria.
