Tomorrow, 15th January, SVT will announce the four wildcards that will participate in Melodifestivalen 2008, Sweden's Eurovision Song Contest selection show. Rumours have been flying around the internet for weeks as to who will be named as the final contestants in each semi final. The annoucement due at 10:00 CET tomorrow morning.

The press conference to announce the participants will take place at 10:00 CET. the four acts will be unveilled. esctoday.com has been talking to several sources, management companies. SVT have not confirmed any of the names to esctoday.com, but based on speculation from AftonBladet, and analysis of all the rumours, here is what the team at esctoday.com expects.

The burning question for many is whether or not the much hyped 'One Love' duet between former Eurovision Song Contest winner and three time Melodifestivalen winner, Carola and last year's runner-up, Andreas Johnson will be one of the final four. The rumour surfaced several weeks ago. Although their participation has been denied by some websites, esctoday.com believes that Aftonbladet was correct that the duo will be at the press conference tomorrow and are likely to be installed by the bookies as favourites to win the competition. They are performing together in Stockholm tonight, and it is likely they will be together again tomorrow.

esctoday.com also believes that the rumours of 16 year old Amy Diamond and Niklas Strömstedt, who wrote the 1992 Swedish Eurovision Song Contest entry and Magnus Carlsson's 2006 final song Lev Livet, will be proved to be correct.

esctoday.com believes that rumours of Alcazar's participation are incorrect and they will not be one of the final four. We believe the fourth act to be a band. All will be revealed tomorrow. We also believe that rumours of a duet by Måns Zelmerlöw and Agnes will also prove to be wrong. Måns told esctoday.com back in June that he would not want to participate in 2008 but would like to do so again in the future.
