This weekend saw a new feature on esctoday.com for the first time. Rather than logging into the homepage as usual, we put up a screen so that readers had the choice to find the online streams of the shows and watch them before viewing the homepage with all of the results from shows around Europe.

The reason for this is to prevent fans from seeing the results before they have had a chance to watch the show for themselves. From now on, if you are watching a live show, and don't want to know the results from around Europe until you've seen the shows, or you are out and want to find the streams online the next day without being told the results, life is simple:

Don't look anywhere except www.esctoday.com!You will find the live streams, live report articles and links to watch the shows after they are completed displayed on the first page you come to, without seeing any of the results from the national finals! If you want to go to the homepage, simply click the link on the page and you will find our normal news service available in full.

It became very clear that fans watching the Danish semi final switched to the Cyprus final when it started. Rather than going back to the homepage to see the result from Denmark, we thought we would give readers the opportunity to see the Danish semi final in fullbefore seeing the results.

We willactivate the homepage screen when there are silmultaneous national final shows going on around Europe. This will remain in place from the Friday or Saturday of the showsevening until the early hours of Monday morning, so you have the rest of the weekend to watch the shows (where broadcasters provide the option to watch the show after completion).

The screening page, will provide links to our live report articles, where you can react as you watch the shows online. Links to webcasts of all available shows can be found in those live report articles. As soon as the selection shows finish and links to watch repeats of the show become available, we will post the link to watch the show on the screen. You will not need to visit the homepage – where the results will be published as soon as they are known – until you are ready to see them.
