The final pre selection round for Malta's Eurovision Song Contest selection show, Go Malta Song for Europe, will be held tomorrow Wednesday 9th January. Each song will be performed in front of an international jury board. The jury will then select the 16 songs that will go forward the semi final on the 24th day of January.
The songs that qualify for the semi final will be announced at a special press conference to be held at the Salesians Hall, Sliema, Malta at 19:00 CET. The running order for the semi final will also be announced during the event.
Songs to be previewed on One TV
The first eight of 16 songs competing in the Malta Song For Europe will be aired on Eurovision Fever this sunday 13th January at 16:30 CET. The show, hosted by former esctoday.com editor, Deo Grech and Ray Falzon will be the first of two specials previewing the Maltese Eurovision Song Contest selection show.
"With little more than 2 weeks to go for the finals of this year's Malta Song For Europe 2008, Eurovision Fever will give an equal and fair promotion to all 16 entries". The first eight songs will feature in the show this Sunday, teh second show will air at the same time on sunday 20th January.
International viewers will be able to tune in via webcast with a choice of streams from www.di-ve.com and www.one.com.mt.
