Seven years ago, on 12 January, 4Fun- Lithuania�s representative at the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest-was created. On this occasion the band�s drummer and manager Laimonas Staniulionis made a movie called �Eurovision 2007. Helsinki. 4Fun�s diary� which was presented last Saturday to the press , the band�s friends and fans.
Before going to Helsinki, Laimonas has decided to take his camera with him. Back from the contest he realised he had 12 hours of Eurovision Song Contest 2007 material – backstage footage, press conferences, interviews, parties and rehearsals. Then the idea of creating a movie was born. As a result we have an one hour movie with funny and not so funny memories from Helsinki.
The movie was greeted by loud laughter and enthusiastic applause by the audience present. After the premiere all guests were invited to celebrate the band's birthday. “Our seventh year started with Eurovision, that’s why we have decided toclose this year in the same way presenting the movie you just saw. Last year we participated with the song which had to be presented to audience in 2006 but we couldn’t finish the song on time. This year I participate in Lithuanian national final with a song which had to be sung last year! We are always late…”, says lead singer of 4Fun Julija Ritčik. According to 4Fun, there is a chance the movie will be releasedon DVD. Also it will be probably shown on National Lithuanian television. If the public wishes, “Eurovision 2007. Helsinki. 4Fun’s diary” will be shown from time to time in the “Skalvija” cinema, where the event took place.
