40 countries will be taking part in the 60th Eurovision Song Contest which will be held in Vienna on 19, 21 and 23 May. The next country to be introduced is F.Y.R. Macedonia. Singing for F.Y.R. Macedonia this year is Daniel Kajmakoski.

Daniel was born in Struga, south FYR Macedonia on 17 October 1983. When he was 7, his family moved to this year’s host city – Vienna! He participated in many musical shows, such as Ohrid Fest in FYR Macedonia and Pej S’men in Bulgaria.

The first season of X Factor Adria (Serbia, FYR Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia) was broadcast in 2013 and on 23 March 2014, Daniel has won the grand final of the show. In the same summer his first single, Skopje-Beograd was released. It is a duet of Daniel with Željko Joksimović, who is a judge in X Factor Adria and a famous singer and songwriter in the Balkan Eurovision world, finishing 2nd and 3rd as a singer and 3rd and 6th as a songwriter, so far.

The Skopje Fest 2014 was held on 12 November 2014. Out of 20 participants, Daniel has got the second place among the international juries, and the first place at the televoting. He won the competition with 22 points, singing Lisja esenski (Autumn leaves). The song was later translated to English and revealed in its new Eurovision version.
