Since the day after the last Eurovision Song Contest it was a public secret: Renars Kaupers and Marie N will present the 48th Eurovision Song Contest in Riga, on May 24.

Renars Kaupers represented Latvia in 2000 together with his band Brainstorm of which he is the singer, when the Baltic country appeared on the Eurovision stage for the first time. With the song My Star they ended up at the 3rd place.

Marie N (her real name is Marija Naumova) represented Latvia last year with I Wanna. She won the Eurovision Song Contest with a few point more than Malta. Marie N participated earlier in the Latvian national final Eirodziesma with the song Hey boy follow me.

The host couple was introduced during the draw for the running order, which just took place in the LTV studio's. The hosts requested to write their names as Renars Kaupers (sometimes written as Reynard Cowper) and Marie N (and not Marija Naumova).

The results of the draw will be made public in the late afternoon.
