The Polish broadcaster TVP announced early in March that Monika Kuszyńska would represent the country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. The artist started singing with the band Various Manx in 2001. After a serious car accident in 2006, Monika became partially paralyzed and she focused on rehabilitation. This did not deter her resolve to perform and sing. With this spirit she released her first solo album in 2012, Ocalona (Saved). She is also involved with charities and social activities which earned her the Golden Cross of Merit in Poland in 2013.
Her song is In the name of love, which she wrote inspired by the motto of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, Building Bridges, because in the name of love we are able to overcome every barrier, aren’t we?
