Thomas G:son makes it to national selections

One of the surprises from the Swedish Melodifestivalen songs this year was the absence of one of most reliable names, one Thomas G:son. Thomas is a regular composer at Melodifestivalen, winning the competition with Bobby Ljunggren and Henrik Wikström in 2006 with Evighet for Carola. He also took both first and second place in Norway in 2007. The trio have collaborated once again on the song 'Addicted to you', which has been named as one of the qualifiers in Belgium.

The G:son-Ljungren-Wikström team reached fifth place at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest in Athens with Carola's performance of Invincible. They will have high hopes for another national final victory with Tanja Dexters. esctoday.com's partner website, www.belgovision.com announced that the team had submitted an entry.

Their song Addicted to you, we are informed, is in a style similar to Helena Paparizou. The singer, a former beauty queen and Miss Belgium at the presitigious Miss World beauty pagent describes the song as "great exotic pop". She claims that she is still working on the stage presentation but promises an eye-catching performance.
