After the news that Australia will participate in the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna, the search for a candidate begun. Broadcaster SBS will internally choose their representative, but already one artist has made her intention clear, Courtney Act.

On her Facebook-page, Courtney Act writes:

 

Courtney Act is the stage persona of pop singer and drag artist Shane Jenek. Courtney Act was a semi-finalist in Australian Idol 2003, and a finalist in RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6. She has released several singles. Last summer Courtney Act became the first drag performer in history to sing live with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra.

Courtney has been a huge fan of Conchita Wurst, the 2014 Eurovision winner
