Gigliola Cinquetti is hosting an entertaimnent show ITALIA RAI on Italian cable and satellite channel Rai International. Gigliola is currently enjoying successs and popularity on home soil. She invites famous Italian personalities to her show which is 3 hours long and is telecast 5 days a week on Rai International. ITALIA RAI brings Italians living overseas back in touch with their motherland and offers its viewers a variety of features.

Gigliola Cinquetti is more than familiar with the Eurovision Song Contest as she has represented Italy on 2 occassions. She sang Italy to victory at the 1964 Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen with the song Non HoL'eta. 10 years later she came back to theEurovision stage, when she reprensentedItaly for the 2nd time, at the 1974 Eurovisison Song Contest in Brighton where sheachieved an honorable 2nd place with her song Si, just behind the Swedish group ABBA.

Italy won the 1990 Eurovision Song Contest with Toto Cotugno, thus got the chance to host the 1991 Eurovision Song Contest in Rome. Rai, the Italian national broadcaster chose its 2 Eurovision winners to host the show, ie Gigliola Cinquetti and Toto Cotugno. Gigliola has competed and performed many times at the San Remo Song Festival and has gained extensive experience in television. She has hosted various television shows through the years.

ITALIA RAI is aired from Monday- Friday at 20.30 CET on Rai International 1 , from Tuesday- Saturday on Rai International 2 at 6.15 CET and from Tuesday to Saturday at 8.30 CET on Rai International 3.
