Light up your mind

Wilhelm is a six-piece band who have previously competed before at Eesti Laul. Their song Resignal finished in ninth place in the final of last year’s contest. But this year, they’re back, and hoping to improve on their previous result.

The members of Wilhem met while studying music in the Estonian city of, Tartu. They have described their musical style as a mixture of folk, jazz, pop and indie. Since forming in 2012, the band has taken part in many of Estonia’s music festivals, including Tallinn Music Week 2014, IDeejazz, Jazzkaar, Pöff, Sleepwalkers and Positivus. As well as Eesti Laul 2014, they also reached the finals of the Noortebänd competition back in 2013.

Recently, they released their first album, which was recorded in various locations in Africa.

Wilhelm will compete at the second semi-final of Eesti Laul 2015 with the song Light up your mind.
