Gerard Joling will represent the Netherlands at next year's Eurovision Song Contest in Serbia. At least, that is what the popular Dutch singer said this morning in the radio show Evers staat op. The NOS does not want to confirm the news.

This morning, Edwin Evers asked Gerard Joling in his radio show if the rumour about his participation was true. Joling replied that it indeed was true but that he wasn't supposed to reveal the news yet."I have sworn not to talk about it with anyone yet.I can deny the news now but when it is announcedofficially in a few days, you all might think that I am a liar", Joling said on Dutch radio.

TheNOS does not want to confirm the news that Joling will represent the Netherlands again. "We are negotiating with several artists and we haven't taken a decision yet", said a spokesperson of the NOS.

Gerard Joling represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1988. With the song Shangri-la he finished 9th in Dublin. At the moment, Joling is very popular in the Netherlands both as a singer and television show host.
