FYR Macedonia’s 2015 Eurovision representative Daniel Kajmakoski  has flown all the way to Doha, Qatar for the 24th Men’s Handball World Championships where he joined a large group of international artists and performed the official anthem of the games Live it, at the opening ceremony of the championship.

A total of  23 artists from 23 nations took part in the official anthem: Qatar, Belarus, Slovenia, Egypt, Austria,  Macedonia, Argentina, Algeria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Venezuela, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Iceland, Croatia, Brazil, France, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Russia, Germany, Sweden, Spain and Poland.

The 2009 Norwegian Eurovision winner Alexander Rybak was among the artists who peformed Live it in Doha, he got the chance to meet Daniel in Qatar. Another former Eurovision star who also was part of the group was none other than Marija Sestic, the 2007 Bosnian Eurovision representative.

The 24th Men’s Handball World Championship is currently being held in  Qatar. The championship kicked off on 15 January and will conclude on 1 Ferbruary.

 The lyrics of the song have been penned by Amir Teima and Shady Ahmed, and the music is composed by the Norwegian composer Sveinung S Nygaard. The song bridges cultures and provides a platform for exchanging ideas and sharing a common universal language.

Daniel arrived in Qatar a week prior to the Opening Ceremony in order to prepare for the live performance of the official anthem Live it.

Daniel Kajmakoski won the 2015 Scopje Song Festival- the 2015 Macedonian Eurovision national final and won the golden ticket to represent his homeland FYR Macedonia at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, next May with his entry Esenski Lisja.
