The Estonian broadcaster ETV selected February 8 as the date for the national final Eurolaul 2003. Songs can be submitted until December 9, 17:00.

ETV recently released the rules for the national final. A shortlist of ten selected songs will be published somewhere in the second week of December.

The Estonian press and fans of Eurolaul are disappointed about the fact that the final will be broadcasted from a studio and not, like last year, from a venue with many available seats. Since Eurolaul became popular after the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 in Estonia, many people wanted tickets for the final. ETV decided this due to the fact that 2002 has been an expensive year for the broadcaster.
