The participants of the Bulgarian preselection for the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest have been announced by BNT. 78 songs were submitted, plus one more song chosen by an expert jury. The first EuroBGVision show will be aired on October 7 with eight more weekly shows to follow until December 16.
The deadline for the submission of the songs for EuroBGVision expired yesterday. 78 songs were received and one more was added by the special, expert jury appointed by BNT. Four songs were disqualified for exceeding the 3 minute limit and two more for being available on the internet before October 1st, the date set by the EBU.

Three songs each month will be voted by the viewers to go to the semi final. The songs not selected will be given a second chance as at the end of January an expert jury will select nine of them to go to the semi final as well, raising the number to a total of 18. Finally, BNT will add three wildcards that will go directly to the final.
