JESC: the results of the first Dutch semi final

Tonight, the first semi final of the Dutch selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2007 has been held. Out of the five competing acts, Lisa, Amy & Shelly and Nigel & Renaldo and reached the final of the Junior Nationaal Songfestival. An expert jury including singer Gordon, rapper Yes-R and actress Monique van der Werff commented on the songs and decided along with a children jury and televoting who proceeded to the final.

The results:

  1. Lisa, Amy & Shelly – Adem in, adem uit
  2. Nigel & Renaldo – Tril met die bil
  3. Tess – Geef elkaar nu een hand
  4. Démira – Ik wil rocken
  5. Jelle – Ik ben verliefd

The national final will be held on 6th October. The three eliminated songs as well as the non-qualifiers of the upcoming second semi final will get a second chance: one of the remaining songs will get the jury's wildcard.

The Netherlands, host country of the 2007 Junior competition, have taken part in the contest since the first edition in 2003 and reached the top10 once: In 2005 Tess finished 7th with the song Stupid. In 2003 and 2004, the country finished 11th and last year, Kimberley finished 12th with Goed.
