This morning LRT held their first in a series of televised shows which will select this year's Lithuanian finalists for 2007 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Monika Linkyté with Vaikystes pasaka (Childhood fairytale) was the jury's favourite and she will be competing in the Lithuanian national final on 21st October. The second finalist, Greta Razmislavičiūtė with Nyk�tukai (Dwatf), was selected by televoting.

Greta Razmislaviciuté- Nykstukai
Dominykas Kovalionas- Noriu
Vaiva Virkutyte – Zvagzdé
The jury, comprisingofAistė Smilgevičiūtė (Lithuania 1999),Linas Adomaitis (Lithuania 2004)and Laurynas Šarkinas -lead singerof Saulės kliošas, a multiple Eurovizija contender, awarded Monika Linkyté maximum points (36). Vaiva Virkutytė placed second with 26 points and Greta Razmislavičiūtė a close third with 25 points. You can see the complete jury score board here. Monika has been singing and playing the piano for a long time, her musical talent is probably in her genes because her grandmother and mother are both music teachers and both are still singing. Monika came to her hometown school music studio 6 years ago and became a solo artist of the Svirplys music studio. In 2006 she tried her luck in 4 international contests where she placed high.
Greta Razmislavičiūtė is an 11 years old pupil, she attends singing classes in the arts school. She is the member of children pop show band Saulės Spinduliai. Greta has been singing since she was 5 years old. She dreams of becoming a professional singer, she loves singing, dancing and hide-and-seek.
