The Opening Press Conference for the Eurovision Dance Contest will take place on Tuesday 28th August at the prestigious City Hall on London's Southbank, United Kingdom. All sixteen competing couples, along with hosts, Graham Norton, Claudia Winklemen and the United Kingdom votes spokesperson Kirsty Gallacher will be present.

The first ever edition of the new EBU led competition will feature competing couples from Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine and of course the United Kingdom.

The Eurovision Dance Contest is a co-production between Splash Media and Sunset & Vine with assistance from the International DanceSport Federation and in association with the European Broadcasting Union. Jane Lush and Fenia Vardanis of Splash Media were the two main creators of the BBC’s highly-successful television show format Strictly Come Dancing; Sunset & Vine is the UK’s leading independent sports production company specialising in live events. The commentators in the United Kingdom will be top choreographer (and Making Your Mind Up pundit),Bruno Tonioli and former dancer, Len Goodman
