SMRTV, the Sammarinese national broadcaster has confirmed to ESCToday that San Marino will participate at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna next May.

San Marino is the 37th country to confirm its participation at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest.  SMRTV will be revealing more details regarding its 2015 Eurovision project in due course.

San Marino debuted at the Eurovision  Song Contest in 2008 with Miodio’s Complice. The country is yet to win the event, its best placing has been a 24th placing in 2014 when Valentina Monetta flew the Sammarinese flag in Copenhagen with her entry Maybe. San Marino has participated in the contest 5 times since its debut, having missed out from the event in 2009 and 2010.

San Marino qualified to the grand final in 2014 with Valentina’s 3rd Eurovision attempt for San Marino. Valentina represented San Marino in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

The official list of participating countries at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest is expected to be released by the early next year.

The 2015 Eurovision Song Contest is scheuduled to be held on 19, 21, 23 May at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna.
