Saturday 30 August is the date that a pop icon, and previous Eurovision representative for the United Kingdom, will return to a stage in Ireland.

It’s 3 years since Bonnie Tyler last performed in the emerald isle and when the organisers of Electric Picnic invited her. She is quoted as saying I’m thrilled that Electric Ireland invited me to perform at their Electric Ireland Power House I know that there is great energy at Electric Picnic and I am really excited about being there

No one knows how to belt out a bower ballad better than Bonnie. Total eclipse of the heart, It’s a heartache and Lost in France are but three of her best known hits but we should not forget her Eurovision 2013 entry Believe in me.

The event at which she will be performing will be held between 29 and 31 August, and feature many world-wide artists like Simple Minds and Sinead O’Connor and have a variety of stages including ones for Body & Soul, Salty Dog and Comedy.

If you happen to be in the area of the Stradbally Estate, Co Laois, Ireland but don’t have a ticket for this event, which is already sold out, you might still be lucky enough to get one of 30 tickets.
