Numerous Italian artists received recognition for their musical achievements over the past year including two former Eurovision artists – Marco Mengoni (2013) and Emma Marrone (2014). Marco’s 2013 album #PRONTOACORRERE – Il viaggio and Emma’s 2013 album Schiena vs schiena both received a multi-platinum certification.

As well as receiving awards for their achievements, both Emma and Marco performed at the event where they performed their own singles. Marco performed his single La valle dei re which was released earlier this year in March whilst Emma performed 2 songs at the event – Arriverà (Sanremo 2011) alongside Italian group Modà as well as her 2014 Eurovision entry La mia città.
