The event is organized by the non-profit organization AIDS LIFE, which was founded in 1992 by Gery Keszler and Torgom Petrosian.

The event this year saw attendance from the world of show business to politics with such luminaries as Lindsay Lohan, Courtney Love, Ricky Martin, Kesha, Bill Clinton and Leona Lewis.

Conchita perfromed her winning song Rise Like a Phoenix in what has proven to be a meteoric rise in fame as her profile and presence on the international stage has rocketed since her historic Eurovision win in Copenhagen earlier this month.
