The latest album from Emma Marrone, the Italian representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014, has gone triple platinum in her home country.

Schiena is Emma’s fourth studio album and it’s the third time she has gone triple platinum following Oltre in 2010 and Saro libera in 2011.

The album was originally released in 2013, and it features her 2014 Eurovision Song Contest entry La mia cittá.

The album currently sits at 24 in the Italian album charts, having peaked at number one upon its release. The album has remained in the charts for 58 weeks.

Emma finished 21st in the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with 33 points. This marks the first time Italy failed to reach the top ten since their return to the contest in 2011.

Italy made their debut in the very first edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in 1956. The country has won on two occasions, the first being in 1964 and the most recent win coming in 1990.
