Kenan Dogulu: Watch the video interview and win

by Stella Floras 59 views

Kenan Dogulu, this year's Turkish ambassador to Helsinki, stopped briefly in Athens on his way to Dusseldorf. There, we had the chance to catch up with him and talk about everything you would like to know about him.

Kenan is not interested in second place. He says he is going to Helsinki to win. He tells us how people told him not to get involved with the contest but that he already feels he has received an award by being appointed by TRT.

Kenan also speaks about his plans for an international career, tells us how he logs on to check out the competition and talks about the poems he writes.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
