Albania: Busy season for Hersi

Hersi Matmuja, this year’s Albanian representative at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest gave an exclusive interview for eurovision.tv where she talked about Eurovision plans and current life.

Hersi, who is singing One Night’s Anger in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest, said that she only wants a microphone and a pair of headphones for her on-stage performance, suggesting that she is keeping her performance simple and is going to be by herself on stage.

As seen in the video, the interview was conducted in the “Santa Cecilia” conservatory, where Hersi is graduating this year. She said that she is very contempt to be representing Albania in Eurovision this year as well as graduating. During the video you are also able to listen Hersi sing lyrical music.

Hersi Matmuja will be the sixth to perform One Night’s Anger in the first semi-final on 6 May in Copenhagen opting for a place in the final. Albania has been participating in the Eurovision Song Contest since 2004 and their best position was in 2012 when Rona Nishliu peaked at 5th place.
