Helena Vondráčková, favourite to win the first ever Czech national final, has faced a set back after Česká Televize (ČT) announced that her entry, “Samba”, was too old for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007.

59-year old Vondráčková has a few days left to search for a new song for the national final, which will take place in Prague on 10th March .

Interestingly, the SMS voting has already started, meaning that you can vote for Helena Vondráčková without even knowing her song!

Whoever becomes the first Czech representative at the Eurovision will have to start in the semi final in Finland, as the Czech Republic is a debutant country this year.
