Bulgaria joined the Eurovision Song Contest family in 2005 but failed to qualify for the final in both editions so far. In the Bulgarian semi final 2007, 18 songs took part and the top 9 – chosen by a jury – were selected to move forward to the final. Another three – more established – singers were announced as wildcards.

The show

The winner of Pesen Na Evrovizija 2007 will be decided by televoting only. The contestants are getting ready for the country's final and the broadcaster, BNT,has put at their website short video presentations of them and their entries. You can read more here.

Bulgaria will be hoping to qualify to the final for the first time since its debut in 2005 with Kaffe's Lorraine. in 2006 Bulgarian hopes were also dashed at the first stage with Mariana Popova's Let me cry only ending 17th in the semi.
