Heinz Rudolf Kunze will compete with Monrose and Roger Cicero for the honour of representing Germany in the next Eurovision Song Contest. The German broadcaster NDR announced that Kunze will be the third participant in the German national final during a special press conference this morning.
The 50 year-old singer -known asa 'Rock-poet'in Germany–only sings in German. It is not confirmed,but itseems likelyhe will do the same in the German national final.
The threeparticipants for the final lineup were selected bya working group of entertainment bosses within the German broadcaster. According to the broadcaster the working group focused on the quality of the music while selecting three acts thatrepresent three verydifferent styles.

Heinz Rudolf Kunzecalls himselfa rock singer, musical composer, lyricist and translator, but he is also succesfull as an novel author. Since 1981, the singer has recorded 27 albums. Hisbestselling single Dein ist mein ganzes Herz was released in 1985 and peaked at number eight in the single charts. In the 2005 German national final, he supported the band Allee der Kosmunauten and was interviewed during the show.When askedif he would take part in a German national final, he answered: "I think it's the young peoples' turn …"
The German final will be telecast from Hamburg on March 8 whenviewers will select the winner to compete in Helsinki by televote. Germany shared 14th in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest final with Texas Lightning and No no never. However, they are directly qualified for the final in Helsinki as part of the 'Big 4'.
