Latvian national television must send an official confirmation to EBU that they are willing to organize the 48th ESC in Latvia.
CEO of Latvian Television Gundars Reders said on Monday that Latvia will definately host the contest.
EBU requires a confirmation that Latvian television has at least 3 million � for organizing. Latvia has to choose the possible venues and also a head producer for the contest.
The sum of 3 million � doesn't cover all the expences. Reders hopes that Latvian Government will help the organizers with finances.
In the near future will the negotiations about hosting the contest with the leadres of Riga and Ventspils start.
In Reders opinion the whole contest might finally have a budget of 8,7 million � .
