The location of this year�s Euroclub, the meeting place for Eurovision participants and guests, has just been announced by YLE. It will be hosted at the Old Student House also known as the Vanha (Old), a historical Helsinki landmark built in 1870.

The Old Student House is strategically located in the centre of Helsinki, just a stone’s throw from the central hotels, where the delegates will be staying, just 200 metres away from the Lasipalatsi Film and Media Centre where the Info Point will be located, and right across the street from Stockmann’s, the central department store.

YLE’s Event Manager Kjell Ekholm said: “Its central location makes the building ideal as the Euroclub for the Eurovision Song Contest. It is close to the hotels booked for delegates, which is a definite plus. Short distances will make moving around during the week much easier and will enhance the atmosphere, increase the satisfaction of delegates and artists, and generally streamline proceedings,”

Over a thousand delegates and media representatives are expected to frequent the Euroclub for the PR events organised during the final week by the various delegations as well as at the after parties, following the semi final and the final.
