Exclusive: Bosnia Herzegovina – Song on 4th March

Esctoday.com and our partner-website, Eurovision-Croatia, were informed exclusively today by national broadcaster, PBS BIH, that Bosnia Herzegovina will hold an internal selection once again to decide their Eurovision Song Contest entry for 2007, and the song will be selected, then the artist being chosed and both being revealed on 4th March.

Todayesctoday.com and www.eurovision-croatia.com were informed thatthe head of “Eurovision 2007 project" will be Dejan Kukric, last year's commentator for Bosnia Herzegovina. Mr. Kukric informed us that the song selected for the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest will be presented forthe first time on 4th March, although there is no word as to whether there will be a specially produced show.

More information about the Bosnian selection will be presented at a press conference on 29th December 2006, set to be heldin the capital, Sarajevo. Information regarding who will represent Bosnia and Herzegovina will be presented in January.

It is widely feltin Bosnia and Herzegovina consider last year 3rd position at the Eurovision Song Contest to be one of the biggest national successes of 2006. The singer, Hari Mata Hari, is certain be nominated in the national press for 'Bosnian person of the year' in the next few days.

The president of OGAE Bosnia-Herzegovina, Ms. Amra Nadarevic, exclusively told esctoday.com that "This is great news. We simply hope that Bosnia and Herzegovina will select a great singer like last year. We have a bunch of profesionals in team.. And I really expect some big names this year. Dino Merlin would exellent choice!Known already to all European fans!"

Due to their third place finish, Bosnia Herzegovina's highest so far at the Eurovision Song Contest, the country will be directly qualified for the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest final in Helinki on 12th May.
