The Maltasong Board, responsible for the annual selection of a Eurovision Song Contest entry for Malta, has published its rules and regulations for entry to the 2007 Song for Europe.

The document includes the date for the eventual selection, set at the 3rd of February. Publication of this date makes Malta one of the first countries to announce its selection date for the 2007 contest in Helsinki.

Malta must pass through the semifinal in Helsinki after a dismal result for one-time favourite Fabrizio Faniello in Athens. Julie and Ludwig managed to make the final with On again…off again after their semifinal performance in 2004, and Maltese fans will be hoping to pull off a similar feat in Finland.

The full regulation can be read at this link .
